Unforgettable…

We all have our favourite shows, movies and characters. Some deaths you know are coming, some you just never expected, and it’s the ones that creep up and have you on the edge of your seat that hit the hardest. These are just a few that I pretty much have not and will not ever get over. All the feels.

Contains spoilers.

Nell Vance- The Haunting of Hill House.
There were a whole lot of ghosts lurking around Hill house, in pretty much every shot there were ghosts hidden in plain sight, each family member had a run in with a pretty maleficent spirit, but the bent neck lady that was appearing to Nell was creepy as hell. Fast forward toward the end of the series and Nell goes back to Hill house, As soon as she had that rope wrapped around her neck we knew what was coming, but the way that Nell dropped from the top of the spiral staircase and it jumped scene to scene of past encounters where young Nell had seen the bent neck lady and then you realise that Nell is in fact the bent neck lady. Young Nell was seeing future Nell this whole time. That was just incredibly sad; she was being haunted by her future self.

Poussay Washington- Orange is The New Black.
Pretty much all of the characters in OITNB have really quirky personalities and I think we all have a diehard favourite, mine was Poussay. She was just the coolest and the cutest. So in season 4 when the writers had the audacity to kill off my girl, P… I was shocked to the core. That episode and the final ones after were just horrific, everyone in the prison was feeling the loss of Poussay and for me when that season ended, I just couldn’t watch the show anymore, I totally lost interest and refuse to watch anymore. Dramatic I know but…
No, just no.

Glenn Rhee- The Walking Dead.
I guess I just can’t deal when my favourite character gets written out, I didn’t realise Glenn was my favourite at the time, I thought it was my ride or die, Rick Grimes. Actually… at that point I was kinda Fangirling over Negan. How Jeffery Dean Morgan rocked up as Negan in in his leather jacket and with his barbed wire covered baseball bat, Lucielle. He just fucked everything up, daaaaym. I would have jumped sides there and then for Negan. Glenn came close to death a fair few times, there was the whole dumpster incident, that had us hanging on for answers, but he made it. Like a cat with 9 lives, Glenn was there from season 1, he pretty much became the lowkey MVP from the moment he saved Rick from all the walkers back when he was hiding in the tank. Don’t get me wrong though, as a horror fan, Glenn’s death was amazing, Negan choosing who was going to die by ‘eenie meenie, miney mo’. It was brutal, eye popping some may even say, ha.. get it… eye popping?!

Harry ‘Opi’ Winston- Sons of Anarchy.
Opi and Jax were best buds, so when Jax gave the command for Opi to be beaten to death, it was a tough watch. Jax had to make that decision for SAMCRO, even though it killed him. But little did he know that Opi never betrayed the gang. It was all a cover up, lies that Clay had told him. Jax made that decision for the squad and then watched on, crying as he let his best friend be beaten to death.
WowMy heart.

Violet Harmon- American Horror Story.
American Horror Story is my ultimate dream show, honestly I could talk about it all day, it’s like Ryan Murphy crawled inside my brain and took all my favourite things and created the best thing ever. Season 1, Murder House continues to be my favourite. Everything about it was amazing; yes I’m one of those people who think Tate is amazing. Yeah he’s dead, Shot up his school, Set his stepdad alight, Haunts the house and raped Violets mom. But I just love him, we all have our flaws, okay? So in episode six, Violet takes an overdose, Tate being the total cute babe that he is, finds her and drags her to the bathroom where he attempts to save her, she throws up, it’s all emotional and he saves her. After that violet was depressed and not leaving the house for a few episodes, Tate then helps her face her depression and find the route to why she’s feeling this way, he leads her into the crawl space of the house where she discovers her dead body. She died when she took the overdose, and was now one of the souls that continue to haunt the house.

Gwen Stacey- The Amazing Spider-man 2.
I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS TO HAPPEN… I thought that Peter had caught her with his web, but when the blood starting dripping, I just knew. You honestly can’t say you weren’t shocked by this. It still baffles me now that this happened… actually, let’s not talk about it.

Jackson Maine- A Star is Born.
I mean… I’m still not over it now. I never will be. The first time I saw this movie, I went with my friend Roxanne to see it, and I knew I’d be emotional from the get go, just because I love Gaga. But that scene and from there on out, oh my god. I can’t even deal, I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much or been so upset about anything that has ever happened in my real life. But the suicide of Jackson Maine KILLED ME. We both left the cinema in tears; we were laughing at how upset we were but then bursting into tears again because the movie seriously broke us.   I can’t believe he did that to Ally, how he left her like that. Never forget.

Netflix and Chill…

E0646CC8-569C-4BA9-9A1B-630F7612F44CEveryone loves a good series to get lost in, I myself am a self proclaimed queen of binge watching. My greatest achievement to date is probably a whole 10 seasons of Criminal Minds in the space of 3 months. Each season has 20 something episodes, at 40 minutes an episode that is a rough total of over 8000 minutes of criminal minds flat out in three months. (My math might be wrong) ( And yes I work full time and have a life and still found time to get that done.)

Netflix has a lot of great series to offer right now so I thought, hey, maybe I could write a little recommendation post? So yeah, let’s go.

First I’m going to start with The Punisher, wow, are you kidding me, it’s amazing… where do I learn to be as tough as Frank Castle?? He is my gym inspiration and idol. A former marine turned vigilante, out to make criminals pay for their crimes. If that alone doesn’t sound good enough to make you want to watch it, then you must have really shit taste in shows.

Sorry, not sorry.

The Punisher stars Jon Bernthal, who you may recognise as Shane from The Walking Dead. (Also a great show, note that one down too.)

Next, YOU. Starring Penn Badgley from Gossip Girl.

Looks like Lonely boy has taken things up a notch from Gossip Girl. Boy meets girl, boy stalks girl online, boy stalks girl in real life.

Also GIRL NEEDS TO BUY HERSELF SOME DAMN CURTAINS! Xoxo

How far will Joe go to get the girl of his dreams?

YOU also stars Shay Mitchell who played Emily Fields in Pretty Little Liars. (Also on Netflix)

If you liked YOU, then try watching Dirty John. Same kind of motive… manipulative guy prays on single women on dating websites where he plays out the dream guy making them fall in love with him, but is John really as perfect as he’s making out? Red flag alert 🚩 Note to self: Stay single forever and don’t online date.

Dirty John is based on a true story, I watched the whole thing in two sittings, I could have done one and binged the whole thing but I had work to go to. (Super inconvenient.) Starring Eric Bana & Connie Britton from 911, Nashville and American Horror Story. (you know what to do… add to watch list)

I’m currently watching The Umbrella Academy, which is a comic book written by Gerard Way (yep, that Gerard Way, Frontman of the band My Chemical Romance.) It is incredible, I’m loving it! It’s just looks really cool visually and the story is cool too!

Forty-three babies are born around the world on the same day to women who weren’t pregnant when they woke up that morning. Seven of them are adopted by a billionaire and become a little dysfunctional superhero family. I’m 3 episodes in right now and I can’t decide who is my favourite character. I’m torn between Klaus and Number 5. But that could all change as I watch more. Starring Ellen Page and Robert Sheehan who played Nathan in E4’s Misfits

Im always going to recommend American Horror Story, always, I’m obsessed. I’ve watched the first season so many times, it’s my favourite. I Like them all but murder house is my ultimate season! While we’re talking about Ryan Murphy shows make sure you add American Crime Story to your list too, season one was on the OJ Simpson case, you have probably seen that one already, but Netflix has recently added season 2, which follows the story of Andrew Cunanan, the man behind the murder of Gianni Versace. (I previously wrote a whole post on the assassination of Gianni Versace, scroll through previous posts to read more.)  I can’t tell you how much I love Ryan Murphy’s work, anything he is behind is amazing, always. He’s also to thank for shows such as Glee, 911 (as mentioned earlier.) and Scream Queens.
